Classicist building from 1765 dominates Horná Mariková village – it is located right in the middle of the village in a part called Modlatín. The church underwent a reconstruction after almost one century of its existence and in 1925 – 1926 a new part of the nave with side extension was added to this church. The inside of the sacral monument is decorated with original, now historic organ from 1861 with its original pipes. It was a custom work of a Pažický family from Rajec. Interior furniture in the historicist style from the turn of the 19th and 20th century makes this musical instrument a unique piece of its kind in the whole neighbourhood.
